މިލިޔުމުގެ ބޭނުމަކީ ރިސޯޓުތައް 50 އަހަރަށް ކުއްޔަށް ދިނުމުގެ މައްސަލައިގާ ހުއްޖަތެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ދައްކާ ވާހަކަތަކަށް އިލްމީ ގޮތުން ކުރުކޮށް ރައްދު ދިނުމަށް ދިވެހި ދަރީން ތައްޔާރުކޮށް ލޯހުޅުވާ ދިނުމަށް އެހިތެރިވެ ދިނުމެވެ. ދަރީންނޭވެ! ތިންބާރު ވަކިކޮށް އިންތިޚާބުތަކުގައި ގިނަ ކެންޑިޑޭޓުން ވާދަކޮށްގެން ދައުލަތުގެ ވެރިން އިންތިޚާބުކުރެވުނަސް އަދި ރައްޔިތުންގެ މެދުގައި ހަމަހަމަ ކަމާއި އަދުލު އިންސާފު ގާއިމެއް ނުކުރެވޭނެއެވެ.
ރައްޖޭގެ ވިޔަފާރިވެރިން އަދި ރިޒޯޓުވެރިން ވަރަށް މަކަރުވެރިގޮތެއްގައި ރިޒޯޓުތައް ކުއްޔަށްދޭ މުއްދަތު 35 އަހަރުން 50 އަހަރަށްް ހެދުމަށް ދައްކަމުންދާ ވާހަކަ ތަކުގެ ތެރޭގައި ދައްކާ އެއްވާހަކައަކީ މުއްދަތު ކުރުވުމުގެ ސަބަބުން އިންވެސްޓަރުން ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގައި އިންވެސްޓު ކުރަން ޖެހިލުން ވާ ވާހަކައެވެ. މިއީ ކަނޑައެޅިގެން ހަދާ ދޮގެއް ކަމަށާއި، އެއްވެސް އަސްލެއް ނެތް ވާހަކައެއް ކަމުގައި ދަންނަވަމެވެ. ވިޔަފާރިއާއި އިގުތިޞާދީ އިލްމުގެ އަލީގައި ދަންނަވަނީ ނަމަ ދިވެހިރައްޔިތުންނަށް ދަންނަވަން އޮތީ އެންމެ ވާހަކައެކެވެ.
އެވާހާކަޔަކީ މުޅިދުނިޔޭގައިވެސް އިންވެސްޓްމަންޓް ފައިނޭންސް ހޯދުމުގެ ގޮތުން ފައިނޭންސަރުންނަށް ހުށަހަޅަން ތައްޔާރުކުރާ ވިޔަފާރި ނުވަތަ ބިޒްނަސް ޕްލޭން ތަކުގައި ހިމެނޭ އެންމެ ދިގު އިންވެސްޓްމެންޓް ރިކަވަރީ ޕީރިއަޑަކީ ވަރަށް ނާދިރު ފަހަރެއްގައިި ނޫނީ 15 އަހަރު ދުވަހެވެ. މެދުމިނުގެ ޕްލޭން ތަކުގައި އައްމުގޮތެއްގައި ހިމެނޭނީ 5 އަހަރާއި 10 އަހަރާއި ދެމެދެވެ. ކުރުމުއްދަތުގެ ޕްލޭންތަކަކީ 5 އަހަރުން ދަށުގެ މުއްދަތެވެ.
އިންވެސްޓްމަންޓް ރިކަވަރީ ޕީރިއަޑް ގިނަވެގެން 15 އަހަރަށްް ވުރެ ދިގުވާ ނަމަ އުސޫލެއްގެ ގޮތުން ފައިނޭންސަރުން ނުވަތަ އިންވެސްޓަރުން ބަލަން ޖެހޭނީ އެއީ ފީސިބްލް ނުވަތަ ވަޔަބަލް ވިޔަފާރި ޕްލޭންއެއް ނޫންކަމުގައެވެ.
މިހެން މިކަން އޮތް އިރު މިހާރު ރާއްޖޭގެ ރިޒޯޓު ކުއްޔަށްދޭ މުއްދަތަކީ 35 އަހަރެވެ. އޭގެ މާނައަކީ އިންވެސްޓްމަންޓް ރިކަވަރީއަށް 15 އަހަރު ކެނޑުމަށް ފަހު ސާފު ސީދާ ފައިދާގައި ރަށްް ހިންގުމަށް ރިސޯޓް ވެރިޔާއަށް އިތުރަށް 20 އަހަރު އެބަ ލިބެއެވެ. ދެން މިހެން އޮތްކަމެއްގައި ރިޒޯޓު ކުއްޔަށްްދޭ 35 އަހަރުގެ މުއްދަތު ކުރުވެގެން އިންވެސްޓް ކުރަން ބިރުން އުޅެނީ ކޮންބޭންކަކުންތޯ ނުވަތަ ކޮން ފައިނޭންސަރަކުތޯ ނުވަތަ ކޮން ވިޔަފާރިވެރިޔަކުތޯ ބަލަފައި އެމީހަކާއި ބެހޭ މައުލޫމާތު ދުނިޔޭގެ ނޫސްތަކަށް ދެއްވަންވީ ނޫންތޯއެވެ. ދިވެހިރައްޔިތުންނަކީ ގަމާރު ތަންދަޮރު ނޭގޭ ބަޔެކޭ ހިތާ ދަރިފަސްކޮޅަށް ދައުލަތުގެ ގުދުރަތީ ވަސީލަތްތަކުގެ މިލްކުވެރިކަން ދަމަހައްޓަން މަސައްކަތް ކުރިޔަސް ތިވަރު ތަންކޮޅެއް ބޮޑެވެ. ދޮގުހަދާ އޮޅުވާލިޔަސް ތިވަރު ތަންކޮޅެއް ބޮޑެވެ.

MIFCO Managing-Director endorses the Wathan Edhey Grand Alliance

The Managing Director of Maldives Industrial Fisheries Corporation (MIFCO) Mr. Adil Saleem, has endorsed the Wathan Edhey Grand Alliance. He said that his decision to support them was that there has been nothing constructive done by the Dictator and his relatives (Deputy Fisheries Minister Dr.Fathin Hameed is the Dictator’s niece) to enhance the development of the fisheries industry in the Maldives. Moreover all their actions have been destructive and they have failed to implement any plans that MIFCO has put forward to develop MIFCO and to bring advancement to the industry as a whole. Adil Saleem in a radio interview further said that he believed that it is time to change this incompetent government and that he had full confidence that a government of unity by the grand coalition will fulfil the aspirations of all those working in the fisheries industry.

Qasim backs Anni - Opposition United

After a special meeting held and Jumhooree Party office, the Jumhooree coalition, including MNC and Adhaalath, has agreed to fully back the MDP in the 2nd round of the Presidential Election due to be held on 29th October. The special announcement will be made tonight at a rally in Artificial beach. The public is invited to attend the meeting which will start at 9:00pm.In addition to Qasim, third placed Dr. Hassan Saeed as well as Ibra have officially endorsed Anni's candidacy. A memorandum of understand to the form the grand coalition was signed at the the meeting last night in the Jumhooree Party office in Male'.

Election results: 40% < 60%

The 30 year incumbent Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom led the election with a 40.62% of votes. A man who claimed to achieve more than 90% victory in past six terms was seen faded and paled in today’s post-election news conference despite the win. The Inaugural democratic election (with restricted means for him to rig the votes the way he did last 30 years) showed him the much right stand he has in Maldivian political spectrum. His confession about his lowered popularity indicated the guy is not confident anymore. If the election is regarded as a no confidence vote; then he has failed by marginally.
Although he acquired 40.62%, although he claimed to be satisfied with the lead…although he celebrated the glory with his DRP allies… somewhere back in his mind will be the 59.38% majority opposition acquired. If we analyse this in a Maumoon-against-opposition set, then it’s a clear defeat for him. Therefore in the second round he will be pitted against the massive opposition. Surely a very tough upcoming fixture for the veteran!
The election results were much as I expected except Ibra was far behind which stunned almost every citizen. The reasons for his failure are understandable yet unacceptable for me. Even most of his faithful supporters shifted in the last minute to Anni compromising their choice on rage towards Maumoon. I don’t believe the 1382 figure or 0.78% is the indication of his total popularity but it’s the number of people who heartedly believe in the rule of law, in pre-school education, a proper education system, in an anti-trust law and a restructuring of the economy as he was the only one who proposed those. (Having said that I’m sure there is a mass population who accept Ibra’s proposal but as I said earlier was more enthusiastic to vote the alleged most popular candidate). His campaign wasn’t wide enough and critically he was labeled nil popular pre- to elections. He wasn’t even lucky enough to acquire the ‘throw away votes’ as he has being regarded as a strong political figure. (Which Umar Naseer obtained). Yes, personally I’m very disappointed & hurt for the reason he is my favourite, for the reason majority of the people rejected the policies which I thought was the best on table …Perhaps that’s where his calculations went wrong. Majority wants Maumoon off before even thinking about ideal policies.
Among the five opposition candidates MDP-Iththihad candidate Mohamed Nasheed (Anni) has being elected & got the privilege to be the nominee from opposition movement to contest in the second round. Anni is undoubtedly a very consistent figure opposing the regime. This is a moment, a chance we accomplished due to several bloodshed & numerous sacrifices of many of reform minded heroes. Anni is inevitably one of them. Let’s overcome the personal differences and let’s not throw away this golden opportunity.
All opposition candidates except Umar Naseer have endorsed Anni as per their pledge immediately after the results were declared. Dr. Hassan Saeed and Gasim Ibrahim’s backing surely will bring an adequate number of voters to the side while I believe Ibra’s input can enhance the credibility for Anni’s candidacy. We shouldn’t forget Ibra is one of the most respected politician from both side of the fence.
The battle field is very clear now. It’s the moment we eagerly waited for years. The dictator vs. anti dictator clash… Lets unite together and vote for the cause of reform, vote for Anni to throw the trash out. Let’s make the 29th October the historic day

Defining a Journalist

Asking the question “Who is a Journalist?” was how the day began for me today. At AMIC’s annual conference now in progress in Singapore, there were the professors from media, journalism and mass communication colleges and faculties from diverse continents and backgrounds in the first session of the day all trying to arrive at a common understanding of who a journalist is. There were the think tanks from institutes of policy studies and research. There were the high profile journalists themselves carrying with them long standing experience. All of them contributing in their own way to the debate.

This has been a very rewarding session for me both personally and professionally. As a person living in a changing Maldives aspiring for the installation of a liberal democracy, it is important for me to understand the basic premise of the important institution of media: who is a journalist in the proper frame of its meaning? As a technocrat dealing with actual media reform in the country the definition becomes even more significant as the great substance of my work revolves around that definition – be it developing institutions and systems for them, or defining press freedom or even building the larger media landscape.

What I knew from them during that one and half hours of discussion is that they could not agree on a singular definition, either in the broad or in the narrow context. Everyone who spoke contributed to the discussion reflective of his or her own social milieu. There were the speakers who said journalists work with a professional disinterest. Perhaps a reference to the fact that they are professional people who do not get emotionally or personally involved with the stories they cover or have no inclination towards any one particular theory or opinion relevant to their story. There were those who described journalists with a moral flavor that set them apart from every other writer who communicated thoughts. There were those who defined journalists within an ethical setup where they thrust was on the fact that they operated within a set of ethical guidelines. There were those who likened them to public intellectuals who stood tall on national and social issues and pushed agendas and beliefs through the train of their thoughts. There were those who gave a very formal definition whereby the journalists were defined with an institutional approach - those who worked as professionals registered with the journalists associations and professional journalistic communities.

One thing I noticed however underlying all definitions and descriptions was this: a journalist has undergone professional training; he practices a trade or a profession; he is a seeker of information; he communicates information, commentaries, and views on issues relevant to the society; he works within an ethical and professional code; and above all he works for the public in their interest.

I am not sure what we have in the Maldives compares squarely with those qualities and qualifications. But I am sure that there are Maldivian journalists who possess and portray those qualifications and qualities even though it may not be said as a generalization. It is after all on politicians and decision makers like us to ensure that the Maldives landscape now is transformed to ensure that our dream of a proper institution of media is realized, freedom of press is enshrined in our way of life; and journalists are attributed the respect and decorum accorded to such professional communicators and commentators so richly deserve.

I know Maldives is a long way from being there. But I am equally sure that with our hearts and minds firmly placed on that purpose and direction, there is no reason why the Maldives should fail to have a free and responsible media in which serves journalists who possess the talent, the qualification, the professionalism, the ethics, and the disinterest as explained in the discussion this morning.

On a lighter note, a professor of journalism from Nigeria got up at the end of the session and said to the panelists and the several hundred journalists assembled in the hall, that despite being a professor of journalism, he was utterly confused this morning as to who a journalist really is and requested the session to do him a small favor. Please define for me who a journalist is.

No More Cat and Mouse Game of Delaying in the Constitutional Reforms. A warning to the So –Called MDP and DRP Punters.

Back in early 2004 just before I left for UK it was campaign time for appointing this current batch of Special Majlis members. As those appointees for over two years had forgotten their pledge please let me remind you how you ended up your bottom in these chairs with a fat pay check. It is not an MDP or DRP who put you in that chair. There was no MDP or DRP then, whose interests you are protecting for the last two years; instead of fulfilling your promises to us. You came and knocked on our doors, gave us a list of the things you will do if we put a tick against your name and make you the choice for our chair. You people should never forgot where you loyalty lies also the fact that you are been employed by us and your duty is towards us the citizen.

I remember back in 2004 when I was in my island atoll of Fuvahmulah. Normally since I got married at the tender age of 16, although I am from Dhadimagu, I lived on the other side of the island Dhoodigam. So I made home away from home in Dhoodigam. Despite of warnings and bullying from my colleagues and friends of high places in Fuvahmulah, the fact of the matter is I always have found solace, friendship, strong bonds of love from the common citizens of the community. My family one of the higher cast of Fuvahmulah never subjected the way I was warming to everyone, instead they supported me. I had the same approach of relating to parents, students and the wider community of Fuvahmulah through my job at the GN Atoll Education Centre where I was an employee since I was fifteen; despite of immense jealousy and attempts of destruction by some powerful few jealous co male workers who lacks such human relation. Although this got me into trouble just before the presidential election the only election held when I was in the country since my voting age. By trouble means I was kept home from work for 3 months prior to election and on Election Day when I went to vote I was refused the right to vote. Although after a much heated argument with the two people sitting there to conduct the election a cousin of mine and another relative who has been my sister and my best friend throughout my childhood years in the island. they allowed me to vote. As they have to make sure Dhadimagu box only contains hundred percent ticks for the president I was allowed to vote under the condition that I put a tick right in front of their eyes. Use of the voting tent, was too much to ask. I accepted the deal after all I do not want to waste the first opportunity to vote and wanted to vote once in my life at any cost. However where I have the same approach of relating to the wider community and my friendship with the people paid off in the next election which came along. This was the special Majlis election.

The point I am trying to make is these relations had an impact during the special Majlis election time and was really glad then that I was able to contribute to people making the right decision. My cousin was one of the candidates for election. Not on his request, but out of the candidates that were to contest I felt that he is the most capable person for the job. He has always been vocal in expressing what concern the people. He has shown strong commitment in politics, and what it matters to Fuvahmulah when he registered and found the now sold famous Fiyes News Magazine through which he got the government to initiate some of the luxuries that we seen in Fuvahmulah today. I was very happy to oblige and I made a lot of others get convinced in him. When the time came to campaign in the island some people on his visit has told him, or already Haulath has come and asked us to vote you so our vote is yours. He later got elected as one of the special Majilis members of Fuvahmulah and appreciated my efforts, although I was in the UK then.

But soon after he decided to join the Political Party MDP according to his wishes. The people outraged, feeling betrayed has attempted to oust him from the special Majlis chair, and however that kind of rules and regulations are not present in the constitution. The fact of the matter is people like us in every community work hard to get these people elected with hopes and dreams for a better future for us. The common citizen decides on them trusting them to do the right thing by them. However as soon as they are given the responsibility to represent us they become something else. Following Respected Gasims pledge to Finnish the constitution in a few months the honourable the great chair holder appointed Male’ people with great trust, from MDP, the so called MDP parliament group leader is showing his devilish; predatory, money oriented intentions with the statement he made to news papers. That is

“But Gasim has to be unbiased. He should not take any sides. If he starts to take sides, it is going to be a problem,”

I call him and his people and others like him to step down from the high horse, remove their blindfold and step into the chairs we provided them with and do what we employed them to do. This kind of threatening behaviour and verbal manipulation is an attack and abuse of the citizen rights. Our rights. Do not forget you are our employees and we citizen are your employers. If any member we appointed using our citizen rights show gross misconduct and engage in disrespectful behaviour of obliterating the constitutional reform process which we employed you for; we have the power to get rid of cheap people of this sort and put in proper committed people in those chairs and their place.

I guarantee that if this kind of gross misconduct against the citizen needs is carried on in the special Majlis, we will make sure that The Honourable Speakers first job is to get rid of these people on the ground of misconduct per the citizens wish, or pass bills without their consent. If any of the people show childish behaviour of stamping their feel and walking out of the parliament, or others of the sort we do not want our constitutional reform process stalled in wait for another day for them to come back. We do not want the speaker to give them the lilies of their liking and re-establish the waiting game of the past, prolong the reform process on hold for them to stop their baby behaviour. We did not employ them to represent our needs in this manner. This is undermining their job description, so in future if any cases as such arises the Special Majlis should make allowances to pass the bills be it 10 people attending or sitting on that particular day. This obviously is the only way forward, as these people are still giving hints of continued cat and mouse game in the law making process with comments as such immediately after the new Speakers appointment. I say enough is enough. The behaviour of these irresponsible members is making a laughing stock of us Maldivian and our country in front of the neighbouring countries and other countries alike. If not fit for purpose, why bother trying to include a bunch of misfits as our representatives. It is high time to cut the bull and move forward at any cost, and get on with the job in a disciplined grown up mature way or the time has come for us citizens to intervene and abolish the special Majlis with a bunch of lunatics and appoint a proper one so that the job at hand can be done in a normal way as soon as possible. I warn every misfit in the Special Majlis that this is not an individual view and I can guarantee that there are many Maldivian watching your charade and façade disgusted and enraged, very depressed; to the point that your only survival is to show immediate cooperation, responsible behaviour, commitment in the constitutional reform process. No matter whether you belong to a party or not do the job you have been given by us or you will see another side of us. This is the call from all of us; the citizens who gave you employment and status in our constitution making body the special Majlis. @ hu.

އަދި ބޯގަޅިންގެ ތެރޭގައި އަމާންކަމާއި ސުލްހަމަސަލަސްކަން ފެތުރުނު ހިނދެއްވިއެވެ. އެހިނދު އުފަލާއެކީގައި އެއް ބޯގަޅި އަކަށް އަނެއް އަނެއް ބޯގަޅި އަކަށް ވާގިވެތިވެ އުޅޭނޫއެވެ. މިކަން ވެގެންދާހުށީ މިއީޑީސް މަދިރިތަކަށްވާ ކަރުކެހުމެއް ކަމުގައެވެ އާދޭހެވެ. މިކަމުގެ ހިތާމާގައި ގިސްލަގިސްލާ އުޅުނު އީޑީސް މަދިރިއަކަށް ބޯގަޅިންގެ ވާގިވެރިކަމާއެކީގައި މޭވާއަޅައި، ދޮންވެ ފައްކާވެފައިވާ ބޯގަޅި ބަގީޗާތަކެއް ދެއްކޭ ހުއްޓެވެ. އެހިނދު މިއީޑީސްމަދިރި އެއުރެންގެ ހާލު ކަރުކެހުން ހަނދާންނެތި، ބަގީޗާތެރޭގައި ވިއްސި ވިހާލިވެ މަގު އޮޅިދެއެވެ
އެހިނދު، އެމަދިރިތަކާ ދިމާލަށް އިނގިލި ތަކުގެ ކޮޅު ލެނބިގެންދާހުއްޓެވެ. އެއްބޯގަޅި އަކު އަނެއް ބޯގަޅިއަކާދިމާލަށް ބުނާނެތެވެ. އެބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރޭގައިވަނީ 5 ބޯގަޅިއެވެ. އަދި ދެބޯގެރިއާކާއި އެކީ މުޅި އެކު ހަތްބޯގަޅިންނެވެ. އަނެއްބަޔަކު ދަންނަވާނެތެވެ. އެމީހުންގެ ތެރޭގައި ބައިއަތުހިފިފައިވާ ޖަމަޢާތްތަކެއް ވެއެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް ދަންނާށެވެ. އެނގޭހުށީ ކާކަށް ހެއްޔެވެ. އެނގުނަސް ނޭނގުސް ތިންދެގުނަން ބާރައޭ ބުނާ މީހުންފަދައިން މިއެންމެން ވާހުށީ ގުނަކުރާ ނަވަތަ ދަސްނުކުރާ ބޯގަޅިން ކަމުގައެވެ.

ހަނދާންކުރާށެވެ ހެއްލުމަކީ ގެއްލުމެކެވެ. ހެއްލުމާއި ގެއްލުމުގެ ތަފާތު އެނގޭހުށީ ހެއްލުމަށް ފަހުގައެވެ. ދެންފަހެ އެމަދިރިތަށް ބުނާނެއެވެ. ގެއްލުމެއްގެ ތެރޭގައިވަނީ އެނުކުޅެދުންތެރި ފިކުރުވަލުންނެވެ. ފަހެ އޭގެތެރޭގައި ޑރ.ޕޮއްޕަޑު މޮއްކުރުޑީޑީ ހުއްޓަސް ވަރިހަމައެވެ. ހަމަހިލާ އެނގޭހުށީ ކާކަށް ހެއްޔެވެ. އެނގުނަސް ނޭނގުނަސް އެހިނދު މެދޮވަތިން އަޑެއް އިވޭނެތެވެ. މިއާ އެކީ ގެރީގެ ނިގޫފަދައިން މިއީޑީސް މަދިރިތަށް ލެނބިގެން ދާހުއްޓެވެ. އެއާއި އެކު ޕޮއްޕަޑު އަކީ ޣައްދާރެކޭ، މޮއްކުރުޑީޑީ އަކީ ޖައްބާރެކޭ ބުނެ ބައިބަޔަށް ބެހި އެކަކު އަނެކަކަށް ލާނެއް ގޮވާނެއޫއެވެ. ހުރިހަލާކެއްގެ ބޮޑުކަމާއެވެ މިއުރެން އެންމެން ވާހުށީ ޤުރުބާންތަކެއް ޤަބޫލުވުމެއް ނެތް، ނުކިޔަމަންތެރި، އަބަދުގެ އަބަދަށް މަގުފުރެދިގެންވާ ނިކަމެތި ބޯގަޅިންތަކެއް ކަމުގައެވެ.

What’s wrong with our educational system?

Well, what’s wrong with our educational system? This is a question to which all most all the people of fuvahmulah need an answer. A justifiable answer and yet we never got a reasonable answer. May be it’s because of the way we are approaching to the question. Let’s make it in another way, what is good with our educational system? Is there is anything good in our educational system? I don’t see anything good in our system of education.

Indeed I would say that the whole education system is in a mess and is fully corrupted. Well now most of you would be wondering what made me conclude this. Well there are millions and billions of reason and in this article I would be looking to some of them.

Well it’s been years now since Gn Atoll Education Center (GN AEC) started teaching GCSE O’ level but the progress of the students and the school below our expectation. Who should be blamed to this? The students? There is no way in which we can blame the students because there are great minded good students in Fuvahmulah and the whole Maldives will agree with this fact. If the students are not good enough to produce a good result then how are they producing good results in their higher level of studies in other schools and institutes. Gn AEC is not being able to provide good results because they quality of education they provide are not good enough to mark their name in the history. Yeah I agree with you that there are certain times in which students of GN AEC have reached top places in national top ten. Well the big question is why the students of GN AEC can’t reach those places in every year. The answer is very simple, it’s because the quality of education provided in GN AEC are not consistent.

How can they provide good quality education with those resources they have? and the most surprising thing is that the management had never tried to boost their resources. Well I agree that there are all the necessary equipments and resources but are they worth enough to provide a good education to the students? The science lab and computer lab could be described as a body without head. Then the library, how many students are able to get additional reference materials other than those given by teachers from the library. The answer sure will be zero. It’s the same case years ago when we studied and still it’s the same case. Today if I see a good book from the library and the next time I go there I won’t be able to find that book and no one in the library knows what happened to it when we all know that that was stolen. It’s a very common thing and yet the librarian and the school management are unable to provide a justifiable explanation. It’s not only the case with library; the same case goes to the computer lab. Anyone who dared enough to take a stock of the materials in the library and computer lab would be surprised to hell and will be demanding an answer to what happened to the stock they had in there. Everyone knows that this happens but never a good action was taken.

Now let’s have a look on labour resources; teachers. There are dozens of teachers teaching to GCSE o’ level and a’ level. How many of us had ever wondered whether these teachers are qualified and disciplined to teach us, to our brothers and sisters and to our children. Most of foreign teachers are good and well disciplined; a good example could be Economics teacher and supervisor Mr Joseph Thomas. But what are the conditions with our local teachers. Are they enough disciplined and qualified. I would say no, because very closely I have seen their life as teachers and community members. How many of the supervisors have got supervisors qualification with them?

Now let’s have a little look on some selected teachers. Firstly let’s look at Mohamed Ibrahim Didi (bulhlha be), currently a secondary dhivehi teacher. When I first heard that he started teaching the subject Dhivehi to secondary classes I was shocked to hell. The reason being that I believe he has neither the qualification nor the discipline to teach maturing teenagers. Ever since he came to teaching field he is a very famous figure. he came to the scene of the public because of the close bond he have with his students. Because of the extra little help he gave to his ‘hot’ students. Because of the discrimination he created between girls and boys whilst these boys and girls are his students. And mostly because of the love affairs he had with his students.

އެންޑީ ނުދަންނަނީ ކާކު؟

ފުވައްމުލަކު ދަޑިމަގު/ޑޭޒީ އަހުމަދު ނަޖާހު އޭ ދެންނެވުމުން މީ ކޮންބޭފުޅުއްކަން ފަހަރެއްގައި ތިޔަ ލޮބުވެތި ރައްޔިތުންނައް ނޭގި ހިގައިދާނެއެވެ. ނަމަވެސް އެންޑީ (އަހުމަދު ނަޖާހު ޑޭޒީ ) މި ލަފްޒު އިވޭ ކުޑަކުއްޖަކައްވިޔަސް ނޫނީ މުސްކުޅި އަކަށްވިޔަސް ނޭގި ނުދާނެއެވެ. ސަބަބަކައް ވެފައިވަނީ އެންޑީ އަކީ ފުވައްމުލަކު ރައްޔިތުންގެ މަގުބޫލުކަން ހޯދާފައިވާ ހަރުދަނާ އިހުލާސްތެރި ބޭފުޅަކައްވާތީއެވެ. އެންޑީ އަކީ ކޮންމެފަދަ ކަމަކާ ކުރިމަތިލާންވިޔަސް ފަސްނުޖެހޭ ހީވާގި މުރާލި އަދި އަޅުގަނޑުމެންގެ ޔަންގު ޖެނެރޭޝަންގެ ތާއިދު ހޯދާފައިވާ ފުވައްމުލަކު ބަތަލެކެވެ. ރައްޔިތުންނޭވެ! ވިސްނަވާ ބައްލަވާށެވެ! މި ފަހަކައް އައިސް ފުވައްމުލަކު ގިނަ ރައްޔިތުން އެއްއަޑަކުން އެއްނަމަކުން ފަހުރުވެރިކަމާއެކު ކިޔާ ނަމަކައް އެންޑީ އޭބުނުމުން ފުވައްމުލަކު އެހެން ރައްޔިތުންނައް ވެވޭ ބޭއިންސާފެކޭ އަޅުގަނޑެއް ނުދަންނަވާނަމެވެ! ރައްޔިތުންނޭވެ! ސިޔާސީ ދާއިރާއަށް ބެލިކަމުގައިވީނަމަވެސް އެންޑީ އަކީ ވަރައްބޮޑައް ފާހަގަ ކޮއްލެވޭ ހަރުދަނާ ރީފޯމިސްޓެކެވެ. އެންޑީއަކީ އޯގާތެރި ސަކަ މިޒާޖެއްގެ ފުވައްމުލަކައް އުފަން ލާމަސީލު ހިދުމަތްތެރިއެކެވެ.

އޮނަރަބްލ އެންޑީ އަކީ ފުވައްމުލަކު ރައްޔިތުންގެ މެދުގައި މަގްބޫލް ސިޔާސީ ލީޑަރެކެވެ. އެބޭފުޅާގެ އަގު ވައްޓާލުމަށްޓަކައި ކޮންމެ ބަޔަކު ކިތަންމެ ކަންތައްގަނޑެއް ހިންގިޔަސް، މިއަދު ފުވައްމުލަކު ރައްޔިތުންގެ ކުރިމަތީގައި އޮނަރަބްލް އެންޑީ އަކީ 'ނަންބަރ ވަން ޗޮއިސް'އެވެ

ދެންއަޅެފަހެ ހައިރާނެއް ނުވާނެތަ،މީނަ ގެންގުޅޭ ކެމެރާއަކީ މާމޮޅު ޖާދުއެއް ހުންނަ ކެމެރާއެކޭ ކިޔާތީ އަޑުއިވެއެވެ. ރައްޔިތުންނޭވެ! ވިސްނާށެވެ! ސަމާލުވާށެވެ! އަދި ފިކުރުވެސް ކުރާށެވެ އަދި ހޭވައްލާ ތައްޔާރުވާށެވެ. މި ކެމެރާގެ ހަގީގަތީކީ އަދި މިހާތަނައް އެއްވެސް މީހަކައް އެނގިފައި އޮތް ހަގީގަތަކައް ނުވާތީ މި ފުރުސަތުގައި މިކެމެރާގެ ބިތުފަންގި ނެގުމަކީ މިވަގުތު އަޅުގަނޑުގެ އެއްމެ އިސްވާޖިބުކަމުގައި ދެކެމެވެ. ރައްޔިތުންނޭވެ! ކެމެރާ އަކީ ފޮޓޯ ނަގަން ގެންގުޅޭ އެއްޗެއްކަން މުޅި ދުނިޔެއާއި އަދި ނާހީދާވެސް ގަބޫލުނު ކުރާނެއެވެ.

ނަސްރުއްލާ އެވެ! އަޑުއަހާށެވެ.! ކަލޭއަކީވެސް ރިވެތި އަދަބު ތަކާއި ސުލޫކު ނޭނގޭވަރުގެ ބުއްބޯ ކުއްޖެއް ނޫނެވެ. ތިމަންނަ އިންނާނެ މީހަކު ވީ ފޯއްމުލަކުންނޭ ކިޔާފައި ކަލޭ މާލޭ އާއި އަދި ކަލޭގެ ރަށުން ގެންނަ ބީރައްޓެހިންނައް ކަލޭ ތިގެންގުޅޭ ޒިނޭ ކެމެރާއިން މި ފޯއްމުލަކު ކުދިންގެ ފޮޓޯތަކާއި އެކުދިންގެ ޕާސަނަލް އިންފޯ ތިޔަ ދެނީ ފޯއްމުލަކުގައި މިތިބީ ތިޅާ ގެންގުޅޭ ނާސިންތައް ކަމައްހީކޮއްގެންހޭވެ. ނަސްރުއްލާއެވެ! އެއްގޮތަކައްވެސް އެހެންހީނުކުރާށެވެ! ކަލެއާ ކަލޭގެ ކައްޓެޅި ގުރޫޕުގެ ހަގީގަތް ނުދަން ކުޑަކުއްޖަކުވެސް މިހާރަކު މިރަށުގައިނެތެވެ. އޭ ދުޅަ އެދުރާއެވެ! އިނޓަވިއުތަކާއި ބެޑްމިންޓަން މުބާރާތް ބޭއްވުމާއި އަދި ރީތީގެ މުބާރަތްތައް ބޭއްވުމަކީ ހަމައެކަނި ހއ.އުލިގަމައް ފޫޅު ކަނޑާފައި ހުރި ދުޅަ އެދުރުއްނާސި ގަނޑައް ލާޒިމުވެގެންވާ ދީީނީ ވާޖިބެއްވެސް ނޫނެވެ! މާމޮޅު މީހަކައްވެގެން ފޯއްމުލަކުގައި ތިބީ ތިމަންނާމެން ބޭނުންގޮތަކައް ހަދަންތިބި ބަޔަކައް ހަދަން ތިޔަ މަސައްކަތްކުރަނީ ހއ.އުލިގަމުން ބޭރު ކޮއްލި ވަރުގެކަމަކާ އަދި މިރަށުން ދިމާނުވެގެންތޯއެވެ! އެހެންނޫނީ ކަލޭގެ ރަހުމަތްތެރި ހއ.އުލިގަމު މޫސަގެ އަނބިމީހާ އެއްކޮއް ހިންގި ލޯބީގެ ފަލްސަފާ މަތިން ހަނދާންނެތުނީމަތޯއެވެ. މިވާހަކަތަކަކީ ފެންމުލި ނާހިދާ އަށް މުޅިން އާވާހަކައެއް ކަމައް އަޅުގަނޑެއް ނުބުނަމެވެ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް މިވާހަކަ އަކީ ހއ. އުލިގަމު ރައްޔިތުން ހިތުން ބިންވަޅު ނެގިފައިވާ ކަސޯޓީއެކެވެ.ނަސްރުއްލާއެވެ! އިސްލާހުވާން އެދޭނަމަ ފުރުސަތު ނަގާނުލާށެވެ!
